Please visit the NYS’s website for up-to-date exemption applications and information.

Here is a list of common application numbers for easier searching on the State website:

  • Agricultural – RP305
  • Star Exemption – RP 425
  • Senior Citizen Exemption – RP 467
  • Veterans – RP 458

If you are a new homeowner or have never applied for Star on your primary residence, you are eligible to register for the Star Credit program. Please note that this is a new program that is replacing the current Star Exemption, if you are currently enrolled in the Star Exemption this does NOT apply to you. Only new homeowners or those who never applied for the Star exemption or those who did not have it on the 2015 assessment roll. If you are moving from one home to another even within the same Town you will need to register for the Star credit, you will not be eligible to apply for the Star Exemption**
